12-30-11 – Atlanta, GA>Birmingham, AL – My name is Tim Kelley, I have a 2 CDs that you can find on Amazon, CDBaby, iTunes, Pandora etc. The music is an infusion of acoustic indie-folk-jazz with Latin feels at times and a good bit of vocal harmonies. I write all the music and can provide score for most. We have not been gigging out regularly right now as we have been recording and quite honestly I am not looking to book 2-3 shows a week or every other week just to book a gig.If you are all about having a gig every week then we are probably not your band. Also it is to be understood that this is a volunteer project in its early stages. The people I have in my band right now, love music, believe in my music and do it because they want to and love to be a part of something different. When the time comes and there is money, it will be shared.
With that said, we rehearse just one night a week but not every week, just as needed for new material or if we have a gig. Rehearsals are in Douglasville at one of the members homes( in her band room- where she has a baby grand and keyboards as well). We are all 30 years old + so if you are looking for a band that is made up of a bunch of unstable kids, again, we are not a good match. Two of my members are music educators and have masters degrees in music and have been teaching at the high school level for over 30 years. So we all know what we are doing.
Currently we have myself, I play guitar, ukulele, some percussion, little sax, piano and sing. We have a soprano vocalist. We have my close friend that sings, plays guitar, trumpet, flugelhorn and many other instruments as needed and we also have a drummer. We have a sax player that will sit in with us from time to time but is not a part of the core group.
