12-20-11 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – I’m putting together a rock band (we’re currently drums (me), lead guitar, and rhythm guitar) and we’d like to find a singer who’s interested in helping write vocal melodies, lyrics, original music, and just being a part of the creative process in general. We’re into rock, folk, soul, funk, jazz, blues, country (old), hip hop, and pretty much anything else. Some of the acts that I’ve personally been most into lately are Plants and Animals, Cass McCombs, Neil Young, Spoon, Beck, the Stones, The Walkmen, Radiohead, The Kinks, The White Stripes, The Who, The Black Lips, Wye Oak, Fela Kuti, Dylan, Bowie, Tom Waits. I want to make eclectic rock that runs the gamut from danceable and funky, mellow, jazzy, driving and rocking… in essence just all over the map. Looking to write, record, and gig.
