03-27-12 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – Whiskey Kill is an original rockabilly/twang band that is looking for a steel, piano and/or fiddle player. We rehearse two to three times a month around Somerville, MA on Sunday and play out three to four times a month. We pretty much only play on the weekends,usually on Saturday and Sunday. The band is already booked up completely through October at bars,car shows, and rockabilly festivals throughout MA, CT, NH, and Maine. However, WHISKEY KILL IS NOT A BUSINESS BAND. We basically play for gas money and beer. What you get is a well-managed, popular band that plays outstanding gigs to a dedicated crowd of young fans, and you play with talented professional fellow bandmates. Management really tries to only book good gigs where the venue treats musicians right and there is a good crowd. We never pay to play!! That said,we have a pretty full schedule, so it’s probably best if you don’t have a million other projects. If you think you would be a good fit on steel, piano and/or fiddle, possess a strong love for Americana/Rockabilly music, and playing great gigs, please contact us. Back up vocals would be a huge plus.
