02-19-11 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – Guitarist and I am putting together an original rock/pop type band and need all members- vocalist. Would also like to learn some covers as well- I have done the New England/ Northeast club scene for some time, I understand how it works. Mix of female and male members would be great.A small bit bout’ me: I have played in various bands over the years, as I am 32 years of age soon to be 33. My last project split a few months ago so I am hoping to build another band coupled with some other musicians. I would like to say that age is not an issue- obviously need to be at least 21. I consider my writing as rock with pop undertones. I like tunes with hooks. Listen to everything from the Beatles to mgmt., HJY to BRU, A to Z, you get the idea. But if I had to label myself as to which type of music I am writing, it would be rock/pop.As a band I hope our goals would be to write some great songs with hooks, learn some select covers, play some shows, and record an album. Booking shows on the east coast and northeast- 2-3 times per month, practicing 1x a week. I do have a rent free practice space we can use in my home in Warwick. Musicians with vocal ability encouraged- would like to layer harmonies with the vocalist.Most importantly, I want to stress that I am not looking to pack up a van and self fund a tour- I do have a decent career going that I actually enjoy- however if prospects developed for a tour that was backed, I would certainly highly consider this option, and naturally label interest; the same.This time around, however I really just want to play and write with like minded, laid back musicians, who want to have a great time. Getting shows and recording albums, is the easy part. Being on the same page with direction, ethic, etc. is most important.!Thanks for reading.
