11-27-11 – Dallas, TX>Austin, TX – Hey there, we are from the band Oulaws of a Different Nature or just “outlaws” (not 100% sure about the name just yet but until something better comes along that’s our title.)
We’re searching for a second guitarist to join our band who lives in the North Richland Hills/Watauga/Keller/Hurst area or anywhere very near to the latter places. we’re being specific about your location mostly due to the fact that we have practice every week and we want to make sure you can participate as often as possible. We already have a drummer, a vocalist, and a guitarist, but are looking for a second guitarist and/or a bass player to join our group.
We range in age from 17-19 and are looking for someone in a similar age range as well (just so we don’t end up having a random twelve year old in the midst of a bunch of high school seniors and college kids on stage with us).
The kind of genre that we are mainly wanting to stay in is that of the metalcore/post-hardcore/ hard rock style; similar to that of Asking Alexandria, Woe is Me, We Came As Romans, Motionless in White, As I Lay Dying, Miss May I, Of Mice & Men, and similar bands. We don’t at all wish to be a copycat band (A.K.A. a band that for the most part sounds like every other band in its genre) but we just use the listed bands as inspiration for what we want to create as original musicians.
