12-19-10 – Detroit, MI>Chicago, IL – We are an acoustic duo (guitar & mandolin) looking for an acoustic bass player. We play acoustic folk, country, pop, etc. from Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc. We don’t really play Bluegrass or Old Time music, more like Newgrass or Beatlegrass or Pickin’ On _______ (insert band here). .We practice one night per week and play a gig maybe once per month. This is not a working band situation, we don’t need the money. We are 50+ and have jobs and do this for fun. We are looking for a bass player to drive the music, preferably string bass. We don’t play loud and we don’t play R&R–been there, done that. No drugs, no smoking. If you are of the same mind, let us know.
