04-21-11 – Cleveland, OH>Detroit, MI – Hey guys! We are a 4 piece punk/alternative band that has been working very hard in the last year. I happen to think we sound a lot like Green Day meets Social D. We have a very busy summer ahead of us; 6 showed booked so far this summer and are planning on booking more.(We play at: now that’s class, the hifi club, spitfire, rocbar, etc.) Ideally we will be playing once or twice each week, and getting together to practice about the same. We are also currently shopping around for recording time so we can have a 6 song demo released by the second week in june. We currently have about 13 original songs (email me and I can send you a couple tracks) plus we know a dozen or so cover songs. Our current lead singer is also our rhythm guitarist and he wants to pass the torch on vocals and focus more on writing music. But we all agree the only thing lacking in our music is a powerful frontman. Which is where you come in… Ideally we are looking for someone with a vocal range similar to Chester Bennington, Jared Leto, Tim McIlrath, Dave Grohl, etc. Basically someone with haunting harmonies that can scream from time to time. We also need someone to capture the crowds attention with his looks, style, charm and mannerisms. It’s a definite plus if you play an instrument and can write lyrics…but not a requirement since we have that area covered. All we ask is that you work as hard as we do. Please don’t show up to our audition drunk and unable to carry a tune in a bucket. Please don’t be more interested in getting laid than showing up to practice or gigs on time. Please be interested in the same music as us. (pretty much anything that’s not hip-hop, R&B, pop, country or techno). And lastly, please have at least half of these songs memorized and ready to sing at the audition. Kiss- love gun, detriot rock city. Journey-don’t stop believing. Barenaked Ladies-the old apartment. The Who-the seeker, baba o’riley. Green Day-she, welcome to paradise. Avenged Sevenfold-afterlife. System of a Down-chop suey! We are all looking forward to our most successful summer and hope you can be a part of it.
