03-20-12 – Detroit, MI>Cleveland, OH – I am a keyboard player in my mid-60′s looking for a drummer, bassist, and guitar(s) to play some music with. I play a Hammond B-3 keyboard clone and can also do a bit of the singing for the group. I have been playing keyboard on and off both in a band and for my own enjoyment since the late 60′s.
I like blues (a lot) but also enjoy classic rock and even playing big band standards. I’m not looking to make a living at this I just want to get together once a week to rehearse, have some fun together, and play out maybe once or twice a month. I’ve auditioned with two bands recently but they took themselves way to seriously and seemed to expect that I would set up and be able to play every song they’ve been working on for months without missing a note. Not gonna happen. Lets just give ourselves a break and have some fun. I’m not a Rick Wakeman or Jimmy Smith but I play some decent keys.
