02-07-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – Established local hobby band seeks drummer. Some songs are loud, some are quiet, some are fast, some are slow. A lot of variety in the sets.

This is a fun gig, with fun people who do this solely for… fun!
Historically, we’ve been kind of alt-country but now we’re taking a wider approach.

We’re covering (among others) Psycho Killer. We’ve cut some of the classic country out of the set, and there’s three or four new songs we’re working out. The material is mostly original, occasionally political and there is some profanity.

We practice most Wednesdays 6:30-8:30, typically in Kachina, and are shooting for about a gig a month. We may take a break in June (baby arrival!) or soldier on as a trio (or record another CD) until New Dad can return to the fold. It largely depends on whether or not we can snare (har!) a decent drummer. We’ve played pretty much every room here, so we anticipate getting back into that once our lineup is complete.

We are all in our 30s & 40s with jobs/kids, we all get along well. No drama here.

We respect each other and keep it light. Lots of laughs. We’re not old farts (no offense to OF’s).
