08-11-11 – Nashville, TN>Louisville, KY – I’m looking to put together a post rock group with influences like Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Russian Circles, and Sigur Ros. I want the group to be pretty musically serious, even if the gigs aren’t very regular. I want to focus on writing original material, although we will probably work on a few covers to begin with just to get everyone comfortable with their parts.
The positions:
Keys – The biggest thing here is getting someone with access to a keyboard capable of more soundscape-y patches and effects. The keyboard will be a central part of the band, but again, I don’t need someone with a lot of technical skill, just someone who can be creative and has the tools to do so.
