01-11-12 – Albany, NY>New York City, NY – I am putting everything I usually get asked in an email into this post as to ultimately save time. Reading it all will give you a good idea whether or not you might want to work musically with me and vice versa
My name is Jeff and I am a 27 year old singer looking for 1 or (preferably) more people to start up a group. Preferably looking for a pianist but other instruments are welcome as well. Someone who could provide backup/harmonies would be really cool. If possible I’d also prefer to group up with people at least somewhat in my age range. No offense to people of different age ranges as I am sure you can rock but would rather play and hang out with people somewhat near my age. Anyone from their 20′s- early 30′s is cool with me.
-Some of my musical interests include but not limited to: Imogen Heap, Eisley, The Hush Sound, Stepdad, Two door cinema club, Deas Vail, Darwin Deez and Freelance whales and would love to play a unique mixture of any those styles if possible(and obviously open to artists and styles as well that aren’t listed). So really I would love to make something with strong melodies and unique harmonies, multiple vocal lines, maybe some synth/piano if possible, no screaming, good lyrics, generally (but not always) more upbeat, etc.
-As a singer, I have a clean voice and could be considered in a lower range (though I do have a wide range) than most well known young male singers these days. I do not scream nor am I interested in doing so.
- For members: I am looking for people who are passionate and at least somewhat talented and what they do. Also looking for mature people that are easy to get along with and easy to work with. I would like people who can take this serious enough YET people who are not just “trying to get famous” and can also just enjoy the process of making music with some good people whether or not you actually get anywhere. I just would like to make music, have fun, and if it goes somewhere then it does.

I am open to hearing new sounds and experimenting but do know generally in what realm I would like to make music in ( I respect and appreciate metal, country, 80′s rock, and punk-rock/screamo types but am not really interested in creating those types).
