02-21-12 – Phoenix, AZ>Las Vegas, NV – Looking for a bass player that is a quick study of cover tunes. The songs would include Jazz standards, oldies, R& B, and much more. These are all cover tunes done with acoustic guitar and a female vocalist.
The ideal player should not only be able to pick things up by ear but read charts. Someone that can be a part of the creative sound and inovate. I play guitar and have sound equipment and gear. You must also have gear and reliable transportation. We practice once a week usually on Wed. or Thur. evening. We are flexable as we both have day jobs and She has to drive over 100 miles round trip for practice so once we set the day and time we try to keep it. We have a long list of songs and are constantly adding new ones. There is no pressure and no drama with the situation we are in and we work well together. We are looking for someone to compliment our sound and add to the beauty of the music. It would be nice if you could play up-right bass and 5 string. Vocals a plus or multi instrumentallist a plus.
