It depicts the story of Lhamo a young Tibetan man, and the steps he takes and the plans he makes to be the first Tibetan to burn himself in United States in protest against China’s occupation of Tibet. The story is told from the perspective of Detective Henry Chan who has been assigned to investigate his Lhamo’s death. The story unfolds through the people the detective meets and how they were involved in the young Tibetan’s life.
