28 year old Janson Gomez, has returned to town with a poorly wrapped present and an uncertain angst to celebrate Christmas with his dysfunctional
family. There he remembers what drove him to leave in the first place, as he deals with his overbearing older sister, her townie, slob of a boyfriend, and meets his six year old nephew for the first time.
Janson tries to escape the family disaster, but is caught by his next door neighbor and long time childhood friend Adriana; no longer the little girl he once knew. Janson returns home to pick up the pieces but lingering secrets are outed as the family finally confronts all of the problems they never resolved.
