02-19-12 – Seattle, WA>Portland, OR – We are looking for a drummer who is able to create unusual as well as conventional beat structures and be able to mesh those beats with those of our auxiliary percussionist, which we are also looking to acquire.
The percussionist would be using scrap metal as well as instruments such as a conga, timbales, bells, and other implements. As a drummer, it would help if you had an industrial background, as well as an understanding and strong awareness of bands such as Swans, Black Flag, Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, Prong, Tad, Killing Joke, Neurosis, Big Black, Savage Republic, Head of David, Godflesh, Arsenal, Unsane, Pigface, SPK, Haitian Voudoun, Glenn Branca, Suicide and Whitehouse.These are frames of reference, it is not necessary to know all of these bands.
I ask that you have no drug issues, as well as the ability to transport yourself and your equipment to and from practice, which takes place twice a week. We also require you to pay your portion of the rent at our shared practice space.
