02-27-12 – Chicago, IL>Milwaukee, WI – I am shooting an intense crime drama feature. Shooting is full days, Saturdays and Sundays starting in March 2012.This is a crime drama series following two men as they find themselves getting deeper into a dangerous business with Chicago’s biggest mob boss Ron the Don. Rudy (Gabriel Ramirez) is a down on his luck newspaper boy. He is struggling to get by in life. Having to find anyway to make money to cover rent. When the series begins Rudy’s father (who is dying of pancreatic cancer) informs Rudy that he is in extreme debt. He has no money put away for his funeral. Rudy comes across a scam artist who goes by the name of White. White is running a dirty business of supplying pirated satellite. Rudy begins to do business with White until they come across a huge accident which catches the attention of the Chicago mob. Instead of the mob taking them out, they end up cutting a deal. White’s uses his business skills to run a bigger mob owned satellite business. Rudy discovers that he has the mentality to do hits. All of Rudy’s life people have been dying around him, being a hitman comes naturally. He is used to death. As you go threw the series you see these characters getting deeper into bigger crimes and go threw major changes in themselves in order to make it in this dirty business with the mob.
02-25-12 – New York City, NY>Philadelphia, PA – Casting call for ultra-low-budget short film (10 minutes) about a serendipitous meeting between a young man and woman on a train that is triggered when the young lady drops ‘The Stranger’ by Albert Camus by accident and the young man picks it up, they end up engaging in intellectual dialect and find they have many things in common.
This is a non-paid gig and shooting would only take an afternoon’s work. Of course you will be provided with the finished product on DVD or as digital file.
