We are looking for the final few pieces to complete the lineup for the Lehigh Valleys newest funk project. This will NOT be an average bar band playing 8 nites a month. Instead…this band will do approx. 10-12 performances and shows annually…in fine establishements, theaters and outdoor events. Therefore, if you would like to stay with your current band, and come on board with us too…that would be perfectly fine!! 02-03-12 – Milwaukee, WI>Chicago, IL – UW Colleges / Extension Central IT Services is seeking a talented photographer to take photos for our soon-to-launch website. This is a half-day (approx. 3 – 4 hour) position. Students are welcome to apply.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to listen to the objectives for the website content, go into the field, and take suitable photos while keeping the website in mind.

The ideal candidate will travel building-to-building with a member of our design and development team, discuss / suggest creative ideas, and take high-quality photos.

The ideal candidate will have their own DSLR camera and lenses. Lighting equipment is a plus, but not required.

Subject material includes: UW Colleges & UW Extension buildings, employee group shots, offices, a couple portraits, and the interior of the UWCX Central IT Data Center.

The hired photographer may choose the time of day for the photo shoot within a 9 — 5pm work day. All locations are in the downtown / UW campus area and on-site transportation will be provided.

This is a great opportunity to make some quick cash and walk away with a nice portfolio piece.

01-29-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Francisco, CA – We are a New Orleans-style funk band called Groove-Elation. We have been practicing for about two years with some gigs but our guitar player had to leave the area. We have a solid rhythm section (bass, drums, and Hammond organ) and know about 20 tunes. We are seeking a guitar player, possibly with a jazz background. We do covers right now of artists such as the Meters, New Mastersounds, John Schofield, and Jimmy Smith. This a fun, positive project with good players and groovin’ music. The guitar is fairly straightforward with syncopated rhythms and solos.
We have a studio and practice at Rippin’ Rehearsal in Nipomo approx 6:30-9:30 one day a week and are flexible on which day. We are ready to gig but need to get a guitar player up to speed. You are welcome to come check us out at rehearsal. We ask that the guitar take the time to learn the songs on his/her own time so we can refine at group rehearsal and gig ASAP.
