03-13-12 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – We’re on that all mighty hunt for a bass player again. Like the title says, we’re an indie/alt rock band. Influences include Radiohead, U2, Arcade Fire, Silversun Pickups, etc.. We’re an active band. We tend to gig a lot and we’ve just release our debut EP, “Lines on the Road” on 2-14-12. We were also just a WBRU Rock Hunt semi-finalist. You can check out to hear some tracks. While our material isn’t overly complicated, it does tend to be very bass driven at times.
We are looking for someone with similar influences, preferably some gigging/recording experience, good gear, transportation, between the ages of 21 and 35 (not necessarily a steadfast rule on our end), and have the means to chip in for band expenses, such as rent for the rehearsal space, recording, etc… Personality and chemistry are at the top of the list, too. Like most struggling acts, we’ve had our share of unreliable band members, so please only inquire if you have the time to commit to such a project.
Please show up to the audition knowing some of the material. It makes the best use of time on both our ends. Also, if it works out and you were to join the band, we’d expect that you’d be able to learn much of the material on your own time. That’s not to say we won’t go over it at practice, but showing up and knowing the material will help keep the project moving forward.
Also, it is worth mentioning we practice in TAUNTON, MA at bandstand live.

08-09-11 – Honolulu, HI – Looking for 1 or 2 people who can accompany recorded latin music on the fly. Hina Mauka is having a Recovery Walk/Run/Zumba event at Kapiolani Park bandstand on September 17th at 9:30am. Samba Drummers will add a visual and audio appeal to the event. Must be musically flexible to carry impromtu rhythms and beats to compliment latin beats. Since we are a non-profit entity we can pay up to $40 for one hour but we like for you to stay until 11am for the grand finale. Great exposure from a great location for start up bands.
