02-14-11 – Dallas, TX>Oklahoma City, OK – We’re searching for and are in need of a drummer that can keep steady time and throw in some creative suggestions.

The reason why we’re not looking for the flashiest drummer out there is because we have a conga player/percussionist in the band.
But we feel a lot of our material needs the steady sound/fullness of a drum kit.
As of now this band consists of two guitarists, one bassist, and one conga player/percussionist.

Our sound has a rock/acoustic/indie vibe. Most of the material that we play is original.
Some of our influences are: Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Todd Rundgren, Oasis, Supergrass, Genesis, The Police, Guess Who, Ben Folds Five, Steely Dan, Electric Light Orchestra, The Vines
We listen to and are influenced by most genres of music as well as life around us.
We are also influenced by and appreciate the local north Texas music scene.

This is a gigging band, with upcoming shows booked.
We rehearse 2-3 times a week. Usually on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday nights, and Thursday nights at a climate controlled facility located in Denison, TX.
We try to book 4 to 8 shows a month, depending on everyone’s personal schedules.

01-08-11 – Milwaukee, WI>Chicago, IL – Hi,

We are looking for a drummer (ages 21-25ish) to join an original pop/rock band looking to do big things in the coming year. I know that phrase is vague and I would explain further, but in all honesty it is a conversation that is much better to have in person instead of an internet ad. On that same note, no gigs yet…but would you even want to be thinking about gigs before music has been rehearsed? Me either. The band right now is a lead guitarist/singer with a rhythm guitarist/back up singer/multi instrumentalist. We’re still toying with adding a bassist, but really we are looking to keep our sound simple and uncluttered.

So that’s where you come in. As I said before, we aren’t looking to just set up a myspace page or get pointless ‘likes’ on facebook-we have a very specific marketting strategy that we feel can really take us to the next level. We are very committed musicians and are looking for someone who is like minded, easy going and able to show up on time, meet once a week for rehearsals, and enjoys playing.

As far as our sound goes, think somewhere between The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Counting Crows, Ben Folds Five, and Bright Eyes. Hooky songs, thoughtful lyrics and solid instrumentation all the while striving to be easily accessible to a wide audience.
