01-17-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – The production is part of San Diego State University’s Jury Project, produced each Spring as part of a school wide program which the student work is judged by professionals in the theatre and film industry. The key positions are nominated by the film faculty, and is fully supported by the department. Production takes place late February and early March, with the finished film presented the 3rd week of April. Recent projects have included, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Death of Bessie Smith, and Fuente Ovejuna.

We are getting ready to produce a low budget independent 10min short film.

I am seeking a talented Blues band that can play and sing a song from Blues great Bessie Smith.

So if you are interested in hearing your music in a short film that will be sent out onto the film festival circuit please reply. I love the blues and I am going to try to put as much blues music in my present and future shorts as possible. We just do not hear nearly as much blues in movies that we should.
