03-16-12 – Detroit, MI>Cleveland, OH – Classic and current rock cover band looking for singer of any experience level. We rehearse Friday nights in the Brighton/Howell area. Currently, we jam for the fun of it and could be considered the dreaded “Jam” band. We’re all older (30-50) with jobs and families so gigging for money is not the priority. We all can play and have a blast doing so in a laid back environment. We do want to play out at some point but are looking more towards the occasional summer party right now as we develop our set list. We have 2 guitar players, a bass, and drummer. We’ve been together for over a year and all are committed to the band. Keys would be a plus. We have nice rehearsal space with a PA and lots of other stuff. — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1

We’ll play a wide range of material like Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Allman Brothers, Janis Joplin, Howlin’ Wolf, the Stones, Bonnie Raitt, George Thorogood, the Yardbirds, Joe Cocker, etc.

01-29-12 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV –
I am putting together a band to gig live on an album I released recently with a community of friends/musicians helping out (but all were on loan from other bands). The album came out great , we played one CD release party which was a blast, and we have a small following. Now as everyone goes back to their respective bands (by design, no hard feelings), I have to ‘re-build’ the band.
Because I know the material is there at least to begin with, I want to be patient and find the right mix of musicians that all want the same level of commitment, where zero drama will be tolerated, and where we can do things the way we want. I have already found a bass player and drummer, and I play guitar. Eventually we will be looking for a second guitarist.
All other non-music facets are in place, in terms of label, marketing, etc.
I am in my 40′s and am under no delusion of grandeur about “making it big”, and consider this a “serious hobby”. I have a family, day job, house, etc., and music has it’s place in my life but it’s not my #1 priority… though take a listen at the song samples on the website (), we surprised ourselves with how much better we can be when doing things right ( take time to write, record in a “real” studio, proper mastering, and some beer
If you’re interested, send me a reply and let’s chat. Looking for a singer along the vein of Roger Daltrey, Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder. Someone that has a bit of blues in their voice, but can handle more mellower stuff and harmonize as well. If you list — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1
01-22-12 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – So the two of us have recently come together and started jamming and getting the structures of some potential future songs down.
We’re getting comfortable jamming so it’s about time to add a bassist(or other musician) to the mix and actually be able to write full songs. Trying to make some progressive-alternative-art rock. More complex music but still upbeat that people could get down to and we could have a blast playing live.
You’ve gotta be able to work in complex time signatures and understand basic music theory.
We’re both pretty competent musicians.
We’re laid back 22ish year olds(idk his age) that go to OSU.
01-17-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – We are looking for an outgoing singer (as in cleans – we’re not looking for a screamer) to front our band. Our current lineup consists of two guitarists, a third guitarist/screamer, a bassist, and a drummer who can do backing vocals. We’re all fun and very easy-going so there will be no pressure if you decide to come and try out! Our sound so far is very melodic post-hardcore with an “ethereal” feel, with driving drums and mostly clean vocals accompanied by screams. (Disclaimer: We are NOT a deathcore band, so no all screams and no blast beats!) Our influences include bands such as Escape the Fate, blessthefall, Bullet for my Valentine, Sleeping with Sirens, A Skylit Drive, Black Veil Brides, Falling in Reverse, Eyes Set to Kill, etc, with roots in Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Rush. We’re currently writing originals and have one song completed, with a couple more halfway done which we will finish soon. All we need is a vocal line and LYRICS! Once we find a frontman we are all set to get pictures done, finish the songs, get promoted, and play songs! We’re set to begin recording our EP around March as well. This is NOT a band that will go nowhere – we are all very dedicated musicians with the drive to make it and the connections to do so, however we are not professional musicians so please don’t feel like you have to be either! It’s perfectly okay to be nervous, but if you’re a singer passionate about music with the energy to fire up an audience and help us put on a great show, we want you!
We are looking for:
- Someone who can SING
- Between the ages of 17 and mid-20s
- Has at least minimal knowledge of music
- Male or Female, with slight preference towards females
- Able to assist in writing meaningful lyrics and pitch in ideas for the songs
If interested, shoot us an email with a little bit about yourself and your influences. — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1
