01-29-12 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV –
I am putting together a band to gig live on an album I released recently with a community of friends/musicians helping out (but all were on loan from other bands). The album came out great , we played one CD release party which was a blast, and we have a small following. Now as everyone goes back to their respective bands (by design, no hard feelings), I have to ‘re-build’ the band.

Because I know the material is there at least to begin with, I want to be patient and find the right mix of musicians that all want the same level of commitment, where zero drama will be tolerated, and where we can do things the way we want. I have already found a bass player and drummer, and I play guitar. Eventually we will be looking for a second guitarist.

All other non-music facets are in place, in terms of label, marketing, etc.

I am in my 40′s and am under no delusion of grandeur about “making it big”, and consider this a “serious hobby”. 01-17-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – We are looking for an outgoing singer (as in cleans – we’re not looking for a screamer) to front our band. Our current lineup consists of two guitarists, a third guitarist/screamer, a bassist, and a drummer who can do backing vocals. We’re all fun and very easy-going so there will be no pressure if you decide to come and try out! Our sound so far is very melodic post-hardcore with an “ethereal” feel, with driving drums and mostly clean vocals accompanied by screams. (Disclaimer: We are NOT a deathcore band, so no all screams and no blast beats!) Our influences include bands such as Escape the Fate, blessthefall, Bullet for my Valentine, Sleeping with Sirens, A Skylit Drive, Black Veil Brides, Falling in Reverse, Eyes Set to Kill, etc, with roots in Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Rush. We’re currently writing originals and have one song completed, with a couple more halfway done which we will finish soon. All we need is a vocal line and LYRICS! Once we find a frontman we are all set to get pictures done, finish the songs, get promoted, and play songs! We’re set to begin recording our EP around March as well. This is NOT a band that will go nowhere – we are all very dedicated musicians with the drive to make it and the connections to do so, however we are not professional musicians so please don’t feel like you have to be either! It’s perfectly okay to be nervous, but if you’re a singer passionate about music with the energy to fire up an audience and help us put on a great show, we want you!
