Beebo Brinker Chronicles-Seattle WA – 1026672

07-08-11 – Seattle, WA>Portland, OR – We are producing the Seattle Premiere of The Beebo Brinker Chronicles, written by Kate Moira Ryan & Linda S. Chapman, based on the iconic 1950’s lesbian pulp novels of legendary author Ann Bannon. This production is the culmination of a 6 month long lesbian pulp festival which includes a series of Pulp Cabarets at Re-bar, book signings and receptions with author Ann Bannon, and a Central Heating Lab “Best of Pulp” cabaret at ACT Theater (Aug. 25-27, 2011.) The Beebo Brinker Chronicles runs Thurs-Sun, Sept. 15-Oct. 9 at Re-bar, and will feature burlesque star Polly Wood as Laura and veteran actor Rhonda J. Soikowski as Beebo Brinker. Currently casting for the remaining 3 roles of: Beth, Jack and Charlie.

This is a non-Equity show, but all roles are paid.

05-04-11 – Milwaukee, WI>Chicago, IL – Local children’s book publishing company, seeks a talented dancer to perform at company events as zebra mascot.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be responsible and have a valid drivers license and personal vehicle.
Must have a clear record and be able to pass a background check.
Must be good with children.
Must be an impressive dancer (a variety of styles including hip-hop preferred).

Responsibilities:
Audition: Create a routine or be prepared to freestyle to the Madagascar version of “I Like to Move It.” At time of audition, you may be asked to perform in costume (provided).

You will be expected to be present and perform at a minimum of three annual events, including book signings & parades (you will receive notice of event dates weeks in advance). Most events will last about 2.5 hours. You will be expected to where a zebra costume (provided) for the length of the event. You may be asked to dance three to four songs at each event. At times you will be expected to wave to traffic on the side of the road or simply give high-fives and pose for pictures with children. Jungle Wagon Press reserves the right to videotape and broadcast your performances.

*Must be available for first event on June 25th from 1:00-4:00
**Participation in out-of-town events is encouraged but not required.
