We are going to be doing newer and older Brit-pop tunes but the aforementioned bands are the basis of this project. This is NOT a classic-rock cover band. This is something brand new and fresh. 01-05-11 – Oklahoma City, OK>Dallas, TX – Pro Bass Player Looking For Singers.
Former pro bass player looking for musicians to write/record original music. Ideally former full timers looking for an outlet for their music. I play bass and sing: looking for guitar, keys, drums, singer, and multi-instrumentalists. Maybe we play shows eventually, maybe we don’t.
Interested in a Power Pop sound, heavy on melody and multiple harmony parts – think Fountains of Wayne, OKGO, Jellyfish, Weezer, Jason Faulkner, Matthew Sweet, Kevin Gilbert, Ben Folds, Butch Walker, The Grays, Dada, Imperial Drag, Tsar, Everclear, The Posies The Smithereens and throw in some Brit Pop (Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs), along with older influences (Beatles, Cheap Trick, early Who, Byrds, Elvis Costello). We can even stretch out with stuff like Muse, Morphine, Kings X, Coheed & Cambria, The Police, The Call, Cake, Kevin Gilbert and more.
