Jasper Silsby, an awkward but compelling young man from the fictional Chicago suburb of Owensboro, relocates to the city in search of a job as a photographer, as he feels like he has been growing up in a quasi-rural ‘box’. Having no luck finding the work he set out for, he instead takes up a job at a film camera and print shop run by a St. Louis-sounding, overbearing salesman. One night, Jasper falls asleep at the desk in the shop and awakens to knocking from a mysterious character who needs some old film developed. Initially unbeknownst to both of them, they share a surprising link that proves to shift Jasper’s entire perspective on his upbringing and his seemingly straight-laced, pipe fitter father… in a way that no one could possibly expect.

It should sound youthful, creative, and exploratory. Like you’re an artist, computer programmer, traveller and philosopher all rolled into one. Think Leonardo DiCaprio’s character from the movie, The Beach. Curiosity is the key word, here.

There is pay, but we’re a tiny shop and don’t have a large budget for this. Would be lower than normal VO rates. But we can negotiate.
