02-24-11 – Philadelphia, PA>New York City, NY – We’re a very dedicated band in desperate need of a drummer. We don’t want just any whatever, 4/4 playing, good at fills, good time keeping drummer. We want a drummer who knows how to make melody with drums.
For us, all the instruments have an equal share in contributing to the tone, mood, and practically all of what music is. We want a musician who’s dedicated, can play a variation of time signatures, is able to make practice at least once or twice a week, and who want to rid this world of the terrible Hardcore/Death Metal/Poppunk scene that is going on right now. (Cmon, we all MUST admit it seriously sucks…) And even, eventually, record and get on the road and tour.

As for our band members, we’re all close friends. We’re all pretty chill, and humorous. Oh, and socially awkward. So don’t be shy, or worry about anything. We won’t bite your head off.

Our music? We don’t aim for a ‘genre’. We don’t like limiting ourselves. Instead, we write whatever feels natural. If we wanna write an uplifting melody, then we do so. If we wanna write a sad ballad, we’ll do it. If we wanna write a techo-pop-funk-jazz-mainstream song, then we’ll do so (the first 2 preferably, though).
If we had to place a genre on ourselves, we’d say we’re a somewhat Prog, Alt Rock band. Not like Foo Fighters alt rock, but more like our influences.

Our influences – Tool, Between The Buried And Me, Death Cab For Cutie, Dillinger Escape Plan, Say Anything, Porcupine Tree, A Perfect Circle, Oceansize, Karnivool, Thrice, and a couple others that I’m currently too lazy to list.

As far as practice goes, we usually practice on Wednesday afternoons, and Fridays. Weekends vary. We all have very limiting schedules since we’re all commuting to college.
We’re all 19, and we’re looking for somebody who between the ages of 17 and 22.
