Nothing fancy, no big goals, just taking the musical load off me so I can focus on singing. If you sing, too, that’s a bonus. I work better with women, but you’ll be safe from my predations because I’m very happily married and my wife is my biggest fan so she’s very involved in my musical life.
Down the road we might choose to do more than open mics. My band in California played coffee-shop gigs at least once a month but for some reason they all chose not to quit their jobs and move to New Jersey with me.

11-10-11 – Reno, NV>San Francisco, CA – We are rebuilding a fairly successful local band and in need of a guitar player. We need this player to be a skilled lead player though we are not really looking for a shredder. our music is pop/alt rock so there are areas for cool guitar work, but we do not have a solo section per song, that is way too 70′s. We play mostly originals but do mix in a few covers for fun. If we play a small coffee shop 1 hr gigs we may play one cover max. We do learn them though for some of the 2 and 3 set shows. At most we play 20% covers. to give you and idea, our current covers include Cake, Tonic, Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty, Dishwalla, U2, Verve Pipe,
We currently practice on Saturday afternoons but are flexible. we also meet other times to work on songwriting. This bands goal is to play ski resorts, coffee shops and outdoors during the Summer. We may get a little money here and there but this band is in it for the fun and not to make money or go on tour. We range in age from 30′s to the old man at 42.
we do not care if you are 25 or 45. we are just looking for someone who is talented, doesnt take themselves too seriously, wants to write music and is comfortable playing acoustically and electric. Intern applicants are not required to be enrolled in school, but college credit will be offered to those who qualify. The opportunity is totally free of charge.
