We are searching for THE combo package, Bass/Vocalist, for original progressive rock band REALM.

Realm plays mostly originals songs but some cool covers for paying gigs.

Goal is to play incredible high energy, guitar driven prog tunes to masses.

A great CD (have 12 songs fully completed but can change lyrics) and Internet are one of best tools. Gigging is fun but to get to masses have to work the internet platforms. Band is very motivated and experienced (ages 35-50).

09-26-11 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – Currently we are a Bassist, Drummer and Singer. We’re looking for both a guitarist and keyboardist. . . and are open to other instrumentation. We’re looking for someone like-minded that is into learning challenging material. The style ranges from Heavy metal to Jazz and a lot of funk saturated with soul. We’ve been having some fun working on a bunch of cool covers. . . Rush, Zeppelin, Tool. . . and also bringing a swing jazz feel to some key tracks we like a lot. . . ranging from Jazz to southern rock. . . Our goal as far as the set list is pick what we consider great, catchy songs. . . and bringing a fresh perspective to them while honoring the feel of the version we’re covering.
Our aspirations include gigging, writing recording, and continuing to grow our fan base and exposure on all fronts.
We have a full length album out and have been seeking more extensive distribution.

02-23-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – we are looking for a talented, like-minded bassist with the chops to play funk, jazz, soul, latin, and reggae styles. the sensibility to be locked in the pocket is a must as most of our material is very groove-oriented. we are currently a quartet of musicians predominantly consisting of 2 guitars, congas, and drums, with the capacity to play other instruments (vocals, keys, cuatro, percussion, etc.) as needed. we play mostly originals with some cool covers. we work in a very collaborative manner in sharing ideas and materials. we are also considerate, easy-going, and responsible, and would expect the same from you. if interested please drop us a line with your contact info and samples if possible. multi-instrumentalists are a plus but please be predominantly a bassist since none of us can cut it on the 4 (or 5) string.
