I have been part of several original bands lately but none of them could seem to book more than one show every 1-2 months. The point of this band is play popular songs everyone knows and loves, but more importantly- gig regularly. I imagine us starting off playing songs by artists like: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Ac/Dc, Cream (I know, 60′s), The Who, David Bowie, Heaven and Hell, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, The Police, Rush, Dio, Journey, Kansas, Toto, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Van Halen. A bit about me:
I’ve Been playing for 8 years and some of my big influences are Hendrix, Cream, Zeppelin, SRV, The Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. . .
I’d love to do some covers, but I also have a bunch of original material we could play on. I’m also totally into jamming out new songs together with players who want to contribute their own ideas. I really want this to be band where everyone is involved and gets to add their own ideas.
After jamming a bit we should totally get out and gig around NYC and see what happens. I’m looking to have fun, but I definitely want to see how far we can take this.
