04-06-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – We are looking for someone to compose a bold, tender and rockin score for short film to premiere at the Frameline festival in June and other festivals to follow. It’s an exuberant gay-themed comedy, but it has an emotional scene that is the heart of the film. It’s currently in post-production, and is running about 18 minutes. We wouldn’t need music for the entire film, but it is a sizable project. We have a small stipend available for the composer.
We’d like to find a composer (or band) who’d be able to express the emotional journey of the film through the score, and who could do an awesome job with it. Guitar or piano could work for the basic melodies, but it would build with other instruments into the climax, and possibly into a song for the end credits. We’d be happy to share more details about the story and what we’re looking for in the music. Please send some samples of your work and we can go from there. This Christian based drama is set at a busy bus stop in gritty inner-city USA. This production is about an ex-drug dealer (Name) who finds God, and makes a conscience decision to spread the good news about Jesus Christ. This production takes you on a breath taking and candidly emotional journey of love, joy, lust and deception. The play is designed to provoke Christians to respond to the urgency of spreading the Gospel before the return of Christ.
I am currently auditioning actors and actresses for my Cast A & B for my stage play “For Your Eyes Only.”There is no compensation for this right now.
