03-04-12 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – The Greek Alphabet is looking for a singer.
Be over 21.
Looking for someone confident in their abilities and lyrics. Someone to add a new texture to our three piece and blend in as another instrument, not necessarily become the focal point.
Creativity is a must. If you play any other instrument at all, thats a plus. Autoharp, violin, cello, keys, even guitar , bass drums whatever. We’re still writing songs and finding our sound.
Kind of epic ambient, kind of heavy, kind of angular progishness. We’re really open to all ideas brought forth while allowing each member to interpret in their own way and truly express themselves.
We all come from different musical backgrounds. Some influences include, Explosions in the Sky, Battles, Cursive, HIgh School Football, Deftones, Braid, Lungfish, Fugazi, Don Cabellero. We all have other projects going on and are taking our time writing and polishing. Nothing is being rushed, so dont be surprised if we dont play shows for a few months.

03-03-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – A three-piece band looking to add a fourth one to the mix.

We have guitar/piano/singer, bass, and drums, and looking to add a lead guitarist to the mix.
We have a shared lockout spot located in Anaheim.
We currently play twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays.
Due to our day job commitments, we get started around 8 PM.

Musically speaking, we do something along the lines of brit-pop, indie, alternative, pop/rock, shoegaze, and post-rock.
Influences are, to name a few, Muse, Radiohead, Coldplay, The Fray, Death Cab for Cuties, Explosions in the Sky, etc.
Melodic, soothing, yet explosive and hard hitting at times.

They are eagerly waiting to play shows. They are ready to get their music and ideas out there for the rest of the world to hear.
