03-03-12 – Detroit, MI>Cleveland, OH – We are two late 40-ish professional, level-headed (but not uptight)
family men. One has many years of experience on the drums and currently
plays a custom electronic kit. The other plays the Chapman Stick, tuned
to the low bass and midrange registers. Many years of experience on the
Stick, bass and other instruments.
Our style is difficult to pinpoint, but a bit percussive and even heavy
at times. Definitely leaning toward experimental, progressive
fusion…. Use of effects ranges from none to extreme with some synth
rolled in on occasion for texture.
Our primary goal is simply to make good music while challenging
ourselves and having fun at the same time. We play, on average, one
evening per week in a comfortable, basement studio environment. Not
realistically expecting to play regular gigs, but if something works out
and we find an opportunity to play a festival or two here and there then, who knows. Not
realistically expecting to score it big with a major label sending us
around the world to play in front of thousands of screaming fans.
We are looking for a guitarist or keyboard/synth player who can bring a
melodic component. We would prefer that you be reasonably proficient
and not afraid to experiment a bit. We would also greatly prefer
someone who can bring good melodic structural ideas that we can
collectively build upon. You would be one contributor to a
collaborative effort.
If you are interested, then please reply with an equally descriptive
response indicating what you are looking for. We’ll respect any serious
enquiry and res — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1
