I’d like to get a band going. Right now I’m looking for a guitarist who is both talented and creative: someone who can play leads and invent them (and perhaps solos); someone who is fond of hard rock as well as subtle, introspective ballads; and someone who is committed to music as their Great Ambition in life (as I am).

My influences are manifold. Rock takes the throne: my favorite band is Rush; I’m very fond of Dire Straits, and ZZ Top, and old G ‘N’ R (and most of the rockers from the 80s); Tool, NIN, Metallica, Iron Maiden. Experimenters like Pink Floyd (naturally). . .U2, NIN, The Faint, Muse, and so on. But I’m also into softer, folky sounds: Gordon Lightfoot, Tori Amos, Sting, and the like, as well as oddballs like Oingo Boingo and David Bowie. 11-30-11 – Phoenix, AZ>El Paso, TX – I’m a vocalist and I have a drummer. We want one to two guitar players and a bass player at some point. We’re both experienced and have jobs and we’re edge (not that it matters if you are just no fuck ups, thanks) we want to play hardcore. A mix of more traditional with maybe some beat down influence too as well as heavier modern hardcore. But we want the shit dropped down so it hits hard and heavy.

In 1942, Nikola Tesla completed work on his time machine. He knew there was only one thing he could do with this most significant of inventions… traverse the ages rocking out and partying through all of time! So he got himself a microphone and a keyboard, recruited Leonardo DaVinci to play guitar, and plucked Jimmy Hoffa from the timestream to play bass. Thus, Time Crashers was born!
But they had a problem! Although the tunes they wrote were rockin’, and their playing was tight, they lacked a drummer. That’s where you come in! Do you have what it takes to get behind the skins? To play a wide variety of rock, including, but not limited to, surf, punk, garage, and rockabilly? To sing songs about Morlocks, DeLoreans, and chainsaw-handed lotharios? 06-06-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – Please read the entire posting and do not reply unless you meet our requirements. We are looking for a photographer for our 09.10.11 wedding in Lodi, CA. Ceremony is at 3pm with the reception immediately following. We aren’t really looking for traditional wedding photography, just someone there who will take a bunch of pictures and has an eye for what might make for a cool picture and who will keep an eye out for a sweet moment.

We don’t want an album or prints, just the digital pictures and you don’t even need to spend hours editing. Really. Just send us the pictures you take and we’ll be happy.

We have a VERY small budget, so if you’re looking to work on your portfolio or if you just really like weddings (you’re welcome to chill during dinner and grab a bite to eat, enjoy a cigar and a a glass of brandy– then dance the night away!) then this is the gig for you.
