Jasper Silsby, an awkward but compelling young man from the fictional Chicago suburb of Owensboro, relocates to the city in search of a job as a photographer, as he feels like he has been growing up in a quasi-rural ‘box’. Having no luck finding the work he set out for, he instead takes up a job at a film camera and print shop run by a St. Louis-sounding, overbearing salesman. One night, Jasper falls asleep at the desk in the shop and awakens to knocking from a mysterious character who needs some old film developed. Initially unbeknownst to both of them, they share a surprising link that proves to shift Jasper’s entire perspective on his upbringing and his seemingly straight-laced, pipe fitter father… in a way that no one could possibly expect.

Casting Call for Actors and Child Actors
The working title of the film is “Contemplation”. It is a quite dark psychological experimental film, shot with 16mm film on film camera.
Synopsis:
The story is about a young man contemplating about his life as he is sitting on a toilet, going to the bathroom. He looks malnourished, tired and is reminiscing about his state of mind. The film will include a monologue of him talking about his state of mind, and as he reminisces, there will be flashbacks of his past with his family and his life at school being bullied. The voice inside his head portrays all of these in a poetic way, as the man struggles to cope with accepting who he is. The film ends with him in a psych ward room, looking out the window, revealing that what was seen was an imagination from his head.
