02-22-11 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – Hi there. I’m looking for a DJ for my wedding on October 9, 2011. We would likely need somebody from 3pm to 11pm. We are a couple in our late 20s from Cambridge, MA and will be having our wedding in a restaurant in Minneapolis. We are looking for a DJ who is reasonably priced (we have student loans to pay back, man!) and who understands what a less mainstream crowd would want to listen to. I would provide you with a full list of songs that we want played, but more importantly songs that we don’t want played. We’re not into a lot of the typical wedding music and don’t want any of the electric slide or chicken dance kind of stuff. Think MGMT alternating with Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake. Lighting would be cool, but only if it’s not too clubby.

If you think you get the idea, send me a quote including all pricing. We would mainly just need you to talk at transitions (i.e. first dance, tell people when dessert cupcakes are out, etc). Hopefully there’s a great DJ out there for us. I hear Minneapolis is a pretty great city and I hope the DJs out there are just as cool.
