02-19-12 – Phoenix, AZ>El Paso, TX – Forming modern country band to gig in Tucson and surrounding areas. Have male lead vocalist and awesome lead guitarist. Looking for talented drummer, bass, and rhythm players who love country music. We are both in our mid 40s.

Similar age would be ideal, but age isn’t necessarily a factor, good chemistry goes a long way. Have good practice space in Corona de Tucson. Looking to play mostly newer Top 40 Country with some 80′s and 90′s country mixed in, maybe some originals.

We have a 60+ song setlist put together but are definitely open to other member inputs. Current setlist consists of artists such as Chris Young, Luke Bryan, George Strait, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Billy Currington, Tracy Lawrence, Keith Whitley, Garth Brooks, among others. Evening practices 1-2 times a week for a couple hours.

Hope to be gigging as soon as we are tight. We both have good steady day jobs so this is mainly for fun but we are definitely dedicated. 09-21-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – Wheelhouse is exploring the idea of bringing on a violinist. We are a modern country band covering artists such as Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Easton Corbin. We also get into some classic rock as well. The band practices at least once a week (Wednesday Nights) and periodically on Saturday, especially before a gig. We generally like to book twice monthly.

We have a practice studio with full PA system.
We are not looking for a virtuoso, or concert violinist. This is a relaxed “country fiddling” type of position, and the person we are possibly looking for must have a clear understanding that the violin is used for song augmentation or fill; we do not perform violin concentric songs. Multiple stringed skills (banjo, dobro, mandolin) is a plus.

We would like to find someone 30+, gainfully employed (money is not our motivation), who is reliable and would be dedicated to weekly practice, and available for performance twice monthly.
