basicly just like x-krush but with modern rock/hard rock music. i am 20 years old so i would prefer if you were 28 or under. also you must have your own equipment. i would prefer if you would learn the songs rawkfist by thousand foot krutch and dirty little girl by burn halo. they are 2 songs i would like to do and also i know these songs very well and will easily be able to tell if have what it takes to be in this band by how you play those songs at a jam.

10-30-11 – Hartford, CT>New York City, NY – A few friends and I have started a band. We will be writing and performing our own music in hopes to make it into the hard rock music industry.
We are as serious about this as can be, but we’re in it because of our passion and understanding of music. Sure, the fortune and fame are nice, but those are the gifts received for presenting and creating great music.
Im a drummer, and my friends are lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and growl vocalist, and we’re looking for a vocalist (preferably a girl) and a bassist. Keyboards are a possible addition. We are flexible and open minded people, in our junior and senior year of high school (vocalist graduated) and we would like at least ONE album perfected and recorded by graduation.
I have been playing music for 6 years; 2 years guitar, 3 years bass, and I year of drums. I’m getting drum lessons to expand my knowledge and creativity. Our guitarist has played strictly guitar for 4 years and is also currently taking lessons. The rhythm guitarist is fairly new but receiving lessons as well. Our growler vocalist has been practicing his growls but decided to take it to a new level with our band. I will be taking vocalist lessons as well. I would like to take a big part in backup vocals.
The female vocalist thing is just a way of being diverse; you won’t get anywhere copying or replicating anyone else. The plan is to have a mix of deep growls followed by clean feminine vocals giving the music a “new” vibe to it, and just really being creative. We’ll be open to any ideas and we’ll practice frequently. Practice makes perfect but there’s no such thing as perfection so you’re always getting better.
We do plan on playing live in as many places as we could as often as possible. So high quality equipment will be needed at some point. Recording equipment will also be needed. If money is tight, we’ll help each other out. A band should be just as great friends as bandmates. Just keep in mind this is for people who love music and want it to be part of their life; not for “the image”.

Main influences are: Avenged Sevenfold (huge influence), Escape the Fate, and Bullet for my Valentine. Many other bands are favorite by me but aren’t my influences. We plan on sounding like a blend if newer Avenged Sevenfold instrumental work, Evanescence vocals, and Chelsea Grin growls. Asking Alexandria/Escape the Fate screams would be really nice but not expected.
