I am part of an production team that is currently working on our first album. We specialize in Hip-Hop synthesis sampling, but for our first album we are attempting to re-record all of our samples with live instruments instead of using midi instruments or samples in order to sidestep paying royalties to artists that we borrowed inspiration from. This is where you come in.
We are currently looking for a Pianist who can listen/learn/record the piano parts for four songs. None of the parts are very complex, but being able to play by ear is a plus as we do not have scores written for our music.
I would also like to point out that we are students, so we cannot offer top dollar for your services. If payment is a must, then we are open to discussing various options, but money is tight. 03-19-12 – Las Vegas, NV>Los Angeles, CA – My friend and I are wanting to start up a band. He is the lead guitar and i am the rhythm. Our main inspiration is A Day To Remember, we are learning the entire album Homesick at the moment. We are about half way through it. We would want to start off doing some cover songs from them then move on to making our own material. We need a singer. At least be familiar with bands like Attack! Attack!, We Came As Romans, Abandon All Ships!, and other bands with sounds like ADTR.

We don’t have gig worthy equipment, but if we actually get something going I would definitely upgrade. At least have your own equipment.

02-23-12 – New York City, NY>Philadelphia, PA – The Yangtze Repertory Theatre of America presents a multilingual adaptation of “The Chalk Circle,” a 13th century Yuan dynasty Chinese classical Zaju verse play, primarily known in the West as the inspiration of Brecht’s “Caucasian Chalk Circle.” The play was based on a celebrated court case of Judge Bao, a magistrate still known throughout the Chinese speaking world of today for his wisdom and fair-mindedness.

A beautiful Begonia, is sold into a house of prostitution by her impoverished family, after her father’s death. There she is befriended by Official Ma, a wealthy and childless tax collector, who takes her into his house as his second wife. She bears him a son, Shou Lang, but earns the jealousy of his first wife, Mistress Ma.
Aiming to remove Begonia as a threat of inheriting the Ma Family’s fortune, Mistress Ma accuses Begonia of adultery and poisons Official Ma. She then blames Begonia for the crime and claims to a court that Shou Lang is her own child. As Begonia is about to be hanged, she is rescued by Judge Bao Zheng, who tactfully sees through the scam planned by Mistress Ma.
