05-23-11 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – Boston based Rock Band seeks Solid Creative Bass Player.
•We’re a Boston based original rock band with female lead vocal. We’re finishing up a CD now and have material for at least another as well. We need a bass player to complete our line-up so we can play out, support the CD, and add tracks to existing songs. A little about us: Guitarist was the lead guitarist in Torque, plays a Schecter 7 string among other guitars. He also plays acoustic. Our female singer is very talented and sings with unbridled emotion. She can sing just about any style and has great stage presence. My past (I’m the drummer) includes having played for Joe Stump, members of Meliah Rage, and multiple other bands in various styles of music ranging from Progressive to Rock to Metal to Fusion. . . Our music is rock. We add some diversity with songs that are acoustic and others right on the edge of metal.
•What we are looking for in a bass player is someone with a strong practice and work ethic. Someone who practices on his own and loves his/her instrument.
•Someone who doesn’t object to tuning down for alt tunings. Some of our songs are drop tunings and transposing doesn’t always seem to work out!
•Someone who plays, or is open to playing, a 5- or 6-string bass or a fretless. This is not absolutely necessary but is a plus!
•Someone who can sing back-up. Again, not necessary but would help as no one but the lead singer sings.
•We’re very excited about our new material and can’t wait to start recording. We rehearse in our own studio that is fully equipped with Pro Tools. We need the right bass player!
