02-25-12 – Atlanta, GA>Birmingham, AL – Hi, I’m a 29 yr. old guitarist seeking a talented and driven vocalist for an original project. I have a lot of experience and some material already written. I have great equipment and a practice space with a PA and drum set. Some of my influences musically or lyrically include John Mark McMillan, Jars of Clay, Josh Garrels, Matt Nathanson, Jon Foreman, Bleach (their later stuff), Wade Bowen, and Charlie Hall. I’m a Christian and my faith is a huge part of who I am. I’m open to writing about life and love but a large part of what I want to focus on in writing is my faith. I’m looking for someone who shares that passion. I’m hoping to find someone around my age. Previous band or performing experience is a plus. I’d love to find someone who writes lyrics, melodies, or both. I’d also like to find someone who has a unique voice. I like raspy voices and I’d like to play with someone who has a good range. I have great connections and have plenty of talented musician friends to play with in a full band setting. I’m open to becoming a band with multiple members but first want to focus on finding a singer that I click with. I’m not going into this just to “make it big” or “get signed”. I love the creative process or writing, recording, and performing. My focus is to be creative, write, seek out opportunities to play, and see where it goes. If things go well enough to pursue it professionally then that’d be great but that’s not my reason for putting this together.
