03-07-12 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – We are a gigging band that plays Oldschool/Funk/R&B in need of a full time Keyboardist. Our influences range from: (Earth, Wind and Fire, The Whispers, Mint Condition, Kool and the Gang, Tower of Power, Luther Vandross, Prince, Boys to Men) to name a few. Gigs are lined up at least 2/month mostly on weekends. We are seeking out primarily corporate gigs and get into a regular spot to play at once a month.
At the moment we are a 8 man group consisting of the following members:
- Bass
- Acoustic Guitar/Vocalist
- Electric Guitar
- 3 Vocalists
- Percussion/Vocalist
- Drummer
We are looking for a Keyboardist with the following qualities:
- Can play R&B, Soul, Funk, Oldschool, Reggae
- Willing to rehearse at least 1 time a week on Thrusdays 4:30pm – 7:00pm (Sometimes more the week before a gig)
- Can make it to practice in Milpitas (On Time)
- Can learn material before showing up to rehearsals (We don’t want to learn songs during rehearsal. So do your homework)
- Has no other group band commitments (It’s okay if they get side gigs. But Pacific Soul should be priority.)
- 21+ preferred
We are really looking for a keyboardist that can fully commit to one band and willing to practice. If you think you are too good to rehearse and barely get by on a gig to get paid, we are not interested. In order for our group to see any progress, we need a full time keyboard player we can evolve with. Our arrangements are not like the originals and it will take rehearsals to get all the stops, changes, etc.
But we do keep in contact with a pool of musicians that we use as backups or add to specific gigs. So if that is what you are interested in, please let me know. Note: The chosen full time Keyboardists will get all our gigs! We want to uphold a level of professionalism with our group and expect the same from anyone that wants to try out.

03-01-12 – Dallas, TX>Austin, TX – Newly formed Top 40 band needs keyboardist to complete line-up. Our set list will consist of anything that was a Top 10 hit between 1980 and today.

Everything from Duran Duran, Power Station, Kajagoogoo to Def Leppard, Night Ranger, Bon Jovi then Kool and the Gang and Gap Band.

We want to make people dance and buy lots of beer from the venue. We have connections with House of Blues, Glass Cactus, etc…

07-11-11 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – We are looking for a funky Drummer for an R&B and Danceable Rock Cover Band. Since most of the songs that we sing are built around the rhythm section we need a drummer who will do the homework and learn the details and different parts of the song. We need a drummer who can control his volume to play great softer as well as loud. It is a plus if you can do backup vocals on some songs but it is not necessary. We practice on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm — 9:00 and need a drummer who can play on Wednesday nights. We are looking to gig within the next 6 weeks and need a drummer who can dive in and learn the songs in time for the first gig.
About the Band: The goal of the band is to play danceable cover songs that will pack the dance floor. We have a good mix of old school R&B, classic soul, rock and modern hits. The band has a lot of great assets that many cover bands in Orange County simply do not have. We have 2 solids singers that have done work professional. We have a female lead singer, male lead singer, bass player, keyboardist, and guitar player. We also have a horn section. For smaller gigs we will limit it to the sax player and for larger gigs we will have a trumpet and possible one other horn. The average age of the band is 40 years old and all of us have day jobs.
