02-16-11 – Boston, MA>Portland, ME – THE PORCH takes the audience on a journey through the Labor Day Weekend (2004) of Alma and her friends Gert and Marjorie. Also along for the ride are Gert’s husband Leo, and Marjorie’s husband Pat. Much is discussed, little things… happen… and it all leads to a revelation from Alma that stuns her friends, and solidifies their friendship. There are many laughs, and audiences seem to relate closely to the characters, seeing either themselves or some of their relatives and friends re-created onstage.
Those wishing to audition must bring a completed audition form and provide a headshot and resume. The audition consists of a reading from the script as well as scenes provided upon request.
