02-19-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – We need a talented and creative bass player to complete our guitar trio + vocal jazz band! The other three of us have been rehearsing without a bassist for a bit (it sucks) and can play about 25 songs. Some of my favourites on the list are “Honeysuckle Rose”, “Save Your Love for Me” and “He’s a Tramp” (sung by Peggy Lee in ‘Lady and the Tramp’, it’s surprisingly cool). We need someone who is interested in contributing to the creative aspects of the project, and is more than just a hired gun. While we fully intend to get paid, we are not quite at that stage and cannot promise a goldmine straight out of the gate. This would be a good fit for a working bassist who wants some creative input and to maybe push the envelope a bit, or for a very skilled hobbyist who wants to swing like it’s 1952 and get paid to do so.
