07-14-11 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – Hey there. So the two of us are former band members of Skyshatter, a local successful band with a full length LP (professional recording experience), have plenty of experience with live performances (Roseland, Satyricon, Mississippi Studios), and are regulars on local radio (94/7, 94/7 too, KINK, Viva la Luna, etc). That band has dissipated over the last six months. You can listen to our stuff here: . The lead singer/ 2nd guitarist and bassist are the ones looking to form a new band. We are looking for a new direction than our prior band and are looking forward to new influences that you could bring to the table.
Both Jerae and I are highly trained guitarists, so if there is an impressive bassist out there, we would be open to that too. We are 20, so are looking for 17-25 year olds roughly. No gender bias, as I am a chick as well. Not looking for simply a jam band, but one that has a professional and looking to succeed. Needless to say, we’re looking for members who can be sober. Also if you’re a drummer who solely relies on the double bass pedal or a guitarist who can only play at 270 bpm on a seven string (aka every garage death metal band out there), we’re not really interested. We also don’t do the Jesus-y Christian rock thing. We have plenty of equipment and gear but live in an apartment, so a practice space will need to be negotiated. Our influences range from RHCP, Nirvana, Misfits, Dream Theater, Black Sabbath, Tool, A Perfect Circle, System of a Down, Soundgar — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1

12-30-10 – Cleveland, OH>Detroit, MI – I’m a 24 year old singer, songwriter, acoustic/electric guitarist, and pianist looking to add a drummer and additional musician to my indie pop/art rock project named “Ten and Six.”
In addition to finding a solid drummer/percussionist, I’m looking for a keyboardist (or even another guitarist/multi-instrumentalist) with an enthusiasm for electronics and effects. Ideally, they would be able to take on a role vaguely similar to that of Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood or Sunset Rubdown’s Camilla Wynn Ingr – namely, providing melodic fills, bass lines, textural effects, atmospherics, and whatever suitable musical and sound content works for a given song structure along with my vocals and piano/guitar parts.
I would like to be recording in the near future with this band, ultimately completing a full length LP to follow the debut EP. In addition to this, I’d like to be gigging heavily with plans to eventually tour, locally and then nationally.
To get even more of an idea of my style and approach, my primary influences are (apart from the aforementioned Radiohead and Sunset Rubdown) : Wolf Parade, Destroyer, Dungen, The Walkmen, Yo La Tengo, Tom Waits, Spoon, St. Vincent, Animal Collective, etc.
If you’re interested, you can contact me via the email link provided by Craigslist.
