02-25-12 – Philadelphia, PA>New York City, NY – Jiff and the Choosy Mothers are in the process of booking weddings/corporate events/private parties/casino gigs through a top booking agent in the area and are currently auditioning female vocalists.

Female vocalist must be experienced, professional, able to sing a wide variety of styles/eras, able to sing harmonies, and able to entertain a crowd by “working the room”. Ability to play an instrument (guitar/keys/other) is a major plus but not a requirement.

The ideal player should not only be able to pick things up by ear but read charts. Someone that can be a part of the creative sound and inovate. I play guitar and have sound equipment and gear. You must also have gear and reliable transportation. We practice once a week usually on Wed. or Thur. evening. We are flexable as we both have day jobs and She has to drive over 100 miles round trip for practice so once we set the day and time we try to keep it. We have a long list of songs and are constantly adding new ones. There is no pressure and no drama with the situation we are in and we work well together. 02-03-12 – Boston, MA>Portland, ME – We are seeking a versatile bassist that can harmonize and provide backing vocals.

We are a Rhythm Guitarist/Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, and Drummer who unfortunately lost our bassist.

We are all drug and drama free, non-smokers, have families, have careers, etc. . . We started playing together about 5 months ago and have about 35 songs that we are working on.

The genre is mainly a mix of Alternative Rock, Funk and Reggae, we are trying to keep the music that we play upbeat and energetic.
We are working toward playing gigs and we were very close to that point. The plan was to start up as a cover band for a quick start and begin working on originals to mix in. We have also discussed raising the rehearsal rate to be ready for this season. Read on and if you have an interest in our project lets talk.

We have been rehearsing at my house Tuesdays at 6:30 till around 9, which we can readdress for the right person if needed, in Manchester off Mammoth Road on the Manchester/Hooksett line. I need to be very picky as to whom I will let in my family’s home, or even who I will associate with. I really feel that if your band mates are not someone you would want as a friend, then why bother? You spend far too much time together and need to mesh and be on the same wavelength.
We have a large “jamroom” about 500 sq ft with equipment, 20 channel mackie mixer, 1200 watts per channel crown power amp into the mains, powered mixers, yamaha monitor speakers, bass amp and cab, mics, cables, stands, some lighting effects and controllers, recording equipment etc . . . and can play as loud and as long as we like.

01-20-12 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – We’re a 2 piece acoustic cover outfit. There’s a singer and me on acoustic guitar & backing vocals.

My singer’s other band is real busy these days & his time for this project has become scarce.

So we’ve both decided that it’s best for the band if we work in someone to replace him.

We currently play approx 1-2 shows/month.

Looking to play 2-3 shows/month in the future. Focused mostly on the South Shore.
