This performance is about a family’s power to overcome obstacles when they are truly put to the test. Big Mama struggles to keep her family together as they live through infidelity, incest and insecurities until they realize that only God has the last word and not the Devil. The conflicts focus on Big Mama’s children and grandchildren, and the long time relationship between Venus and Martha to see if their friendship can weather any storm.
