07-30-11 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – The Israelites are looking for a bass player. We play ska, rocksteady, and reggae modeled after the authentic sounds of the Jamaican originals. We are a dedicated and spiritually-minded band, founded in 1989.
We have recorded and released 5 cds, toured the and Mexico and have played countless venues and festivals across the We have been the support act for such artists as The Skatalites, Justin Hinds, Derrick Morga, Lord Tanamo, Bad Manners, The English Beat and many others.
We mostly play in the Portland area, but sometimes play venues throughout Oregon and Washington. We hope to make short trips to other locations as well. 03-07-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – This play takes place in the dining room of a slightly shabby household in a small British town, over a weekend. The other plays take place in the sitting room and the garden involving the same characters over the same period, and actors are encouraged to review all three plays for additional character insights.Norman has arranged for a “naughty weekend” with his sister-in-law, Annie. Since Annie is usually stuck in the house caring for her elderly mother, she has arranged for her another sister and her husband (Sarah and Reg) to come for the weekend and do the caretaking, without exactly telling them what she has planned. Complications pile up with the arrival of Tom, Annie’s largely clueless erstwhile boyfriend; Norman himself and finally Ruth, Norman’s wife.Auditions will consist of reading sides from the script.
