01-11-12 – El Paso, TX>Phoenix, AZ – Local band and bandleader with many previous successful runs is seeking fresh and eager players. Entering 2012 in a state of flux and need to re-group before booking future gigs but have never had a lack of gigs when there is a band to present. Pan-African styles like Highlife, Soukous, Chemurenga and Sungura along with a small doses of Reggae and Soca; nothing like anything anyone else is doing. Fun and dance-oriented, not complicated but does require some “re-wiring” for those who have no experience with these styles. You need to have some proficiency on your instrument and be able to “understand and talk” basic music theory stuff.
