02-19-12 – Phoenix, AZ>El Paso, TX – Forming modern country band to gig in Tucson and surrounding areas. Have male lead vocalist and awesome lead guitarist. Looking for talented drummer, bass, and rhythm players who love country music. We are both in our mid 40s.

Similar age would be ideal, but age isn’t necessarily a factor, good chemistry goes a long way. Have good practice space in Corona de Tucson. Looking to play mostly newer Top 40 Country with some 80′s and 90′s country mixed in, maybe some originals.

We have a 60+ song setlist put together but are definitely open to other member inputs. Current setlist consists of artists such as Chris Young, Luke Bryan, George Strait, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Billy Currington, Tracy Lawrence, Keith Whitley, Garth Brooks, among others. Evening practices 1-2 times a week for a couple hours.

Hope to be gigging as soon as we are tight. We both have good steady day jobs so this is mainly for fun but we are definitely dedicated. If $$ is your first priority that’s cool, but this probably isn’t the band for you. Moderate alcohol friendly and very laid back fellas. Absolutely no drama here and intend to keep it that way.

05-31-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – Our band, Burnin’ Rope, is currently looking for a singer. We have a guitar, bass and drums. The three of us have played together for over two years. Our influences include KISS, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Van Halen, Tool, Black Sabbath and 80s metal. We range in age from early 30s to mid 40s.
The three of us are very laid back and easy going. While we do this for fun first and foremost, we are passionate about our music. We therefore want a singer who is motivated and interested in joining the writing process. The ideal singer will have these attributes:
1. Reliable transportation
2. Availability to practice twice a week
3. No drama or attitude
4. Easy going
5. A good communicator
6. Enthusiastic and interested in working on original material
7. Motivated to write lyrics and assist with song structure
8. Dependable and employed (all of us have full time jobs)
9. Willing to work hard on songs to make them better
10. Last but not least, willing to have some fun!
We have four completed originals and a number of riffs at various stages. We are holding off on furthering the riffs inasmuch as we want a singer to come on board and put his or her stamp on the lyrics. Once we have a good stable of originals together, we want to play some local gigs. While we have no visions of making it big, we want to make songs the entire band enjoys and have fun playing.
