My church is seeking a skilled musician that can play a Hammond Organ AND a Keyboard!
The church is transitioning from old-school traditional to being DIVERSE and contemporary! Therefore we are looking for a musician that knows the LATEST & GREATEST in traditional choir music, contemporary choir music and Praise & Worship Music. Must be loyal and dedicated.
Musician will be responsible for conducting 1 rehearsal per week (2 hours) and play for 2 services (8:00 Sunday service is only an hour and will require minimal music. 10:30 Sunday service is a FULL service. Praise & Worship Team to be launched April 2012 – there will be 2 rehearsals per week at that time.)
This IS a PAID position that is negotiable depending on experience and ability to accomplish objectives.

03-22-11 – New York City, NY>Philadelphia, PA – In three weeks, we will be pitching a new musical to Broadway producers. This will include a 10 minute excerpt of the show to be read/sung by actors.
We are seeking an experienced NYC-based pianist (preferably who owns a keyboard) that would be able to make it to two rehearsals and the pitch. Minimal music directing skills required. 02-07-11 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – A band that is looking to play mutiple genres such as rock, metal, hardcore, blues, and anything inbetween is looking for a drummer. We are just getting the group together so it is a chance to start on a fresh project. There are already several songs in the making but all are missing the backbone that is provided by a drummer. Right now we a are two guitarists a bass player and we have a lead singer.
Since it is a new project we are not looking for pro type gear yet. Just something that would allow you to practice.
A understanding of at least minimal music theory is required. You will also need to be able to keep a steady beat- I know that should be a given, but it is strange how often drummers can’t do that.
Ages 18-25 would be preffered but those limits are not set in stone either way.
You should also have reliable transportation, whatever that may be. If you don’t have transpo than you would have to be able to host practice.
We will practice once or twice week determined by everyone’s scheduals.
