03-07-12 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – A cascade of comedy and a solid hit on Broadway, this affair takes place inside an American embassy behind the Iron Curtain. An American tourist, a caterer by trade, and his wife and daughter rush into the embassy two steps ahead of the police who suspect them of spying and picture taking. It’s not much of a refuge, for the ambassador is absent and his son, now in charge, has been expelled from a dozen countries and the continent of Africa. Nevertheless, they carefully and frantically plot their escape, and the ambassador’s son and the caterer’s daughter even have time to fall in love.
Prepare a monologue (3 minutes maximum), Comedy preferred.

12-08-11 – San Diego, CA>Los Angeles, CA – HANDS ON A HARDBODY is a musical based on the documentary film of the same name, about a truck competition in rural East Texas. In the contest, hardscrabble contestants are invited to a local car dealership, to place their hands on a new Nissan truck. The contestant who can stand the longest without removing his or her hand from the vehicle gets to drive it off the lot. What initially seems like a frivolous, even kitschy stunt becomes a true test of wills.
Please prepare either a brief contemporary monologue or a short contemporary musical theater song and a brief monologue. (3 min max for both) Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.
Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.
